How to paste an image into a thread?

You can't.

The forum itself does not host pictures.  The only way to put pictures in a post is to upload them elsewhere and past the direct image link in the post.

A lot of people use imgur, personally I use cubeupload.  Neither requires account creation (although recommended if you want to manage your pictures).  Cubeupload could literally not make it easier.

You could even use facebook if you wanted, although I wouldn't go that route since FB encodes pictures down to ..eh... quality.
