Each game so far ret-conned the precedent ones, so I'm curious what HW3 does :p

HW2 retconned the hyperdrive of the mothership.

Kharak retconned the Gaalsien and the events of finding the Khar-Toba (plus it added an imperial presence in orbit before discovering the khar toba)

Cataclysm was regarded as a spin-off not sequel, but it retconned what "unbound" is (the use in HW suggests it simply means those not bound to a planet/space faring).
