There's a lot of missing RESOURCEs from KSPI, but if I understood it correctly, you just want the Interstellar Fuel Switch and the WarpPlugin, I'm right?

I'm reproducing your setup here and seeing what's wrong - I don't think you did something wrong, I think we are dealing with some undocumented dependencies.

Stay tuned, I will edit this post as soon as I have some answers.

--- POST EDIT ---

@MixelFan95

Well... It's something you didn't installed. :) But, granted, there're no instructions about how to install only what you want from that packages.

From Kopernicus, you forgot to install ModularFlightIntegrator.

You want to use Interstellar Fuel Switch, right? So please download the latest version from SpaceDock here (assuming you did did it already) then copy the following directories to your GameData:

  • CommunityResourcePack
  • CommunityTechTree
  • InterstellarFuelSwitch

DO NOT copy ModuleManagerWatchDog, TweakScale, neither the others DLLs not inside a directory - they are outdated. I didn't copied PatchManager neither.

To get the newest copy of Warp Plugin, download the latest KSPIE, also from SpaceDock, here (assuming you did did it already), then copy only the directory WarpPlugin (assuming, again, you didn't did it already), as well the DLL Interstellar_Redist.dll .

By doing that, I got a KSP installment similar to yours (except by Parallax, my rig doesn't withhold it) without perceptible issues:

Folders and files in GameData:
000_Harmony
000_KSPe
999_KSP-Recall
CommunityResourcePack <-- Here! Note this directory!
CommunityTechTree <-- Here! Note this directory!
InterstellarFuelSwitch
Kopernicus
ModularFlightIntegrator <-- Here! Note this directory!
ModularManagement
ModuleManager
ModuleManagerWatchDog
Stock folder: Squad

Stock folder: SquadExpansion

TweakScale
TweakScaleCompanion
WarpPlugin
__LOCAL
Stock file: .DS_Store

000_KSPe.dll
001_KSPe.dll
666_ModuleManagerWatchDog.dll
999_Scale_Redist.dll
Interstellar_Redist.dll <-- Here! Note this file!
ModuleManager.4.2.3.dll
ModuleManager.ConfigCache
ModuleManager.ConfigSHA
ModuleManager.Physics
ModuleManager.TechTree
[LOG 04:22:45.677] Done patching
[LOG 04:22:45.677] Saving Cache <-- HERE! MM only saves the cache when everything if fine with the patching!
[LOG 04:22:59.214] Done!

And, since we are here, how about giving WarpDrive a chance? It looks promising.

IT'S FINALLY WORKING!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!!! I LOVE YOU UNTIL THE END MAN!<3

uhhh... I know KSP working but, the CKAN Mods aren't in GameData

Are you sure you are looking in the right Directory? Do you know where to find the KSP.log? Check this post if don't.

Publish it on dropbox or something, and I will give it a peek.

Well... On this installment, things looks fine:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData\000_KSPe.dll
                                                                  ^^^^^^^^^^^

And there's no GameData/GameData in this installment neither.

This log of yours is pinpoint the KSP managed directly by Steam. So it's almost sure you have another KSP installment in your rig, and CKAN is pinpointing that other one.

Open CKAN and check the Title Bar to see exactly what KSP installment CKAN is using at the moment. Look on the screenshot below, it's the top line where the buttons the Red, Orange and Green buttons are - of course, in your Windows this Tittle Bar will be slightly different.

I have many diferent KSP installments on my rig, the one below is the on a directory called
/Users/lisias/Workspaces/KSP/runtime/1.12.5
where I develop, test and diagnose things (I don't use my "productivity" KSPs for testings, for obvious reasons! :D ).

On yours, it will show exactly where is the KSP CKAN is using.

D3kS6uR.png

In File / Manage Game Instances (where "instances" is just a fancy name for "copies" ;)) you will find a place to register and manage different KSP installations. But, at this point, I think it's best to ask for further instructions on the CKAN's thread, as - to be honest - I'm not exactly an expert on it, I'm essentially a command line guy and use it very little. :)

Cheers!

I added the "KSP_x64.exe" as my Instance, but it says Tweakscale isn't Installed properly, and the Required DLLS Are missing.  https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/tyn8so4918zyyv330sbyw/KSP.log?rlkey=ioh0dgbffn4r6qbm435iinh2b&st=3pn3grlo&dl=0

Your KSP installment is well configured, nothing is put on the wrong place. But it's missing a dependency:

[ERR 07:32:21.803] AssemblyLoader: Exception loading 'MoleUtils': System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: Exception of type 'System.Reflection.Refle
  at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Reflection.Assembly.GetTypes(System.Reflection.Assembly,bool)
  at System.Reflection.Assembly.GetTypes () [0x00000] in <9577ac7a62ef43179789031239ba8798>:0
  at AssemblyLoader.LoadAssemblies () [0x000e6] in <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0

Additional information about this exception:

 System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'WildBlueTools, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its depe
File name: 'WildBlueTools, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'

It's that old "friend" Assembly Loader/Resolver bug again. Something fails to be loaded, it got nuts and then screw TweakScale and everybody else that uses Reflection and/or Loads a DLL (and, as usual, TweakScale is not shy on complaining when it isn't felling well, so it ends up taking the hear! :P).

Install this thing: https://github.com/Angel-125/WildBlueTools/releases

I think this will do the trick - unless the WildBlueTools asks for something else that it's not installed... Let me check... <hack hack slash & hack again>....  Nope, didn't found any Dependency other than Unity on the WBT source code.

Install this WildBlueTools thingy and this should do the trick - if anything else blews, it's another missing dependency. Hit me here, we fix it, rinse, repeat! :)

Cheers!

Hello there, I was interested in changing over to this fork of tweakscale after hearing a hint of it being compatible with KRnD, however it's giving me a bit of trouble trying to install through CKAN. It seems unambiguous that this still requires KSP Recall, but CKAN declares it incompatible and won't allow the two to be installed together. So I'm here to ask, Is it compatible with KResearch and Development at all before I go through the extra effort, and will I need to manually install to get this working?

Unfortunately, KRnD doen't works with any add'on that makes changes on a part at runtime. Parts with the the following PartModules are blacklisted on it:

// Parts containing one of these modules (provided by incompatible mods) will be ignored by KRnD:
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = FSfuelSwitch
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = InterstellarFuelSwitch
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = TweakScale
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = ProceduralPart
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = WingProcedural
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = PartSubtypeSwitcherModule
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = WingManipulator
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = ModuleTweakMaxResource
BLACKLISTED_MODULE = USFuelSwitch

Source: https://github.com/linuxgurugamer/KRnD/blob/master/GameData/KRnD/PluginData/blacklist.cfg

It's a restriction imposed by KRnD, there's nothing that can be done by TweakScale™.

Apparently Old "friend" :) (the KSP.log is currently unacessible to me, but I made a search on this thread as I had recognized this set of borks [EDIT: confirmed - I just inspected the KSP.log, and it's really BladeTweaks]).

BladeTweaks's TS patches didn't aged very well, remove the file GameData/BladeTweaks/Squad-TweakScale.cfg and you should be fine! I think you may want to install TweakScale™ Companion, if not did it yet.

Pesky and annoying messages are, as it appears, a inherent characteristic of TweakScale™. :) So, yeah, you are barking under the right tree!

Encountered showstopper error, any thoughts?

Some bad patching is bitting you:

[LOG 00:44:58.316] [TweakScale] INFO: WriteDryCost Concluded : 7057 parts found ; 0 checks failed ; 0 parts with hotfixes ; 0 parts with issues overruled ; 2 Show Stoppers found; 0 Sanity Check failed; 3957 unscalable parts.

At least, it's only 2:

[LOG 00:44:57.481] [TweakScale] ERROR: **FATAL** Part NB0mLFOengine1 (MRS Liquid Fuel Engine, 0.625m "Sparkler") has a fatal problem due having duplicated properties - see issue [#34]( https://github.com/net-lisias-ksp/TweakScale/issues/34 ). at error:0

I'm pretty sure I had seen this recently, and I found this. You are using an old version of Modular Rocket Systems. I don't have a clue why you are using an old version, but anyway, you have two options:

Double patching, historically, leaded to disasters - but not always. Since I can't know when the thing is dangerous and when it's not, it's better to never allow a part to be erroneously double patched. This is usually a sign that there're some other things wrong in your rig.

And wrong things in your rig you have! Your KSP.log is scattered with Exceptions, some of them in nasty places like the PartModule.OnLoad. I think you should try to clean your rig of these errors, as Kraken knows what they can inject into the game's runtime and when.

The first I found is:

[WRN 00:11:25.745] [Kerbalism] Profile.Nodeparse failed to load process
System.Exception: resource LqDeuterium doesn't exist for process LqDeuterium Boiloff
  at KERBALISM.Process..ctor (ConfigNode node) [0x00131] in <1df9ac1cfd4d4d21a02d5b85bcff518b>:0
  at KERBALISM.Profile.Nodeparse (ConfigNode profile_node) [0x00116] in <1df9ac1cfd4d4d21a02d5b85bcff518b>:0

Suggesting that you forgot to install some dependency for Kerbalism - perhaps Community Resource Pack? (I'm guessing).

In a way or another, Kerbalism and TweakScale don't work togheter - Kerbalism has its own internal simulator, and it doesn't knows squat about TweakScale - AFAIK parts with TweakScale are not used by Kerbalism (or the TweakScale is removed from it? Dunno).

ANNOUNCE

Release 2.4.8.4 is available for downloading, with the following changes:

  • Somewhat better error messages, in a (futile, probably) attempt to prevent some crap in the wild
  • Updates MMWD to 1.1.2.1

So... Yeah, by the second time in Kerbal History, TweakScale™ is now (August 31th, 2024) the Second Most Popular add'on for KSP - on both CurseForge and SpaceDock  at the same time! :cool:

#HURRAY!!

Spoiler

kerbal-space-program

Everything in life is ephemeral - including life itself. But, for while, we are still here and I'm still developing TweakScale™ as time allows.

And it's nice to be 2nd. Again! :cool:

Scale safe!!!
(and keep launching)

TweakScale™ has, currently:

And at least half of them are under my tenure. :cool:

Known Issues

  • There's a long standing issue on TweakScale™ about scaling ModuleEnginesFX's plumes - some engines' plumes is just not scaled, while others scaled pretty badly. It's something that never worked right on TweakScale™, and it will only be really fixed on TweakScale™ 2.5 (when this thing goes gold)
    • The best workaround (and also the reason I'm dragging my feet on this) is to use SmokeScreen or Waterfall.
      • For SmokeScreen, you need:
        • SmokeScreen itself.
        • Real Plumes (to enable SmokeScreen on Stock parts)
          • Additional Part Sets and Add'Ons may need specialised support not included on Real Plumes.
      • For Waterfall, you need:
        • Waterfall itself.
        • StockWaterfallEffects (to enable SmokeScreen on Stock parts)
          • Additional Part Sets and Add'Ons may need specialised support not included on StockWaterfallEffects.

This Release will be published using the following Schedule:

  • GitHub, reaching first manual installers and users of KSP-AVC. Right now.

It's unfortunate that TweakScale™ popularity, apparently, is vanishing but so is the Wheel of Life - I always knew this day would come. With these stats, it's unavoidable TS will plummet on the ranks pretty fast.

I don't have an explanation for so many add'ons, TweakScale™ between them, plummeting on SpaceDock but, still, I knew this would come one day.

This Release will be published using the following Schedule:

  • GitHub, reaching first manual installers and users of KSP-AVC. Right now.
  • CurseForge. Right Now.
  • SpaceDock. Right Now.

Being a bug fix release, I hushed the thing into everything at once.

Everything in life is ephemeral, including 2nd places! :/

But we are not dead yet. :)

Indeed, we are not dead yet.

This confusion happened due this commit on CKAN-META at Sep 8th: https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/NetKAN/commit/f273da29e2ba472c529dae6c777a7c57b67db651 (due the recent SpaceDock outage).

But since most CKAN users didn't updated to the last CKAN, this change ended up masking the stats on some add'ons on SpaceDock by diverging the downloads to github inadvertently. [sigh]

CKAN users, please update to the latest CKAN as advised here:

Er that's not quite right.  Most users ARE on the latest CKAN - that's why Spacedock download stats decreased because THOSE users are the ones that are downloading from github instead.

Oh, dear.... So CKAN literally changed how things works on purpose? (sigh)

Anyway. I hope this pull request fix things for me at least: https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/NetKAN/pull/10216

Oh, crap... :blush: I didn't paid enough attention, sorry @Ymmit34!!!

=== == = TRYING AGAIN = == ===

@Ymmit34, please completely remove GameData/TweakScale from your GameData, including GameData/999_Scale_Redist.dll and then reinstall TweakScale from one of the sources below:

You almost surely will want to install the Companions too. Get the ÜberPaket from:

Since you are doing manual installings, it's advisiable to install also the ModuleManagerWatchdog thingy that is also on the same distribution file you will get TweakScake.

This will fix your issue.

Dear TweakScale users,

By some reason TweakScale entry for the latest release, 2.4.8.5, on CKAN was frozen in the first hours of this day.

I don't know what happened, I'm trying to reach CKAN for help:
