Soapstone
And due to some pc issues, I had to format my pc with the system restore and lost my windows kerbal demo and now there seems to be no more link to the demo anywhere. the torrent link on the forum about the demo missing no longer leads to the torrent download, but the main page of KSP's site. Can anyone advise me? I did see the game is on sale via steam and direct download right now, but I want the gog version and the gog version is NOT on sale! https://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/kspstore/ on sale on steam and direct download. https://www.gog.com/game/kerbal_space_program not on sale. Soapstone
ok, but that has been listed in that status for a long time, according to the forums so that excuse is kinda BS, considering the fact that 1.5 seems to have just come out in october, according to steam, and there hasn't been a demo and has been listed in update status for OVER a year! the fact that the page has been listed as "under Maintenence" for over a year, and they have been working on a new version for over a year, and they keep putting out new versions of the demo, but NOT making them available for public use, especially when the new version just came out is a bit ridiculous! what about the sale for the game? I will totally buy it if they put the sale on for the gog version. I get the feeling that they forgot there is a gog version, as they haven't had a decent sale for it for a VERY long time on gog. I have been watching. Edited November 24, 2018 by Soapstone

It's a bit tricky to find the link, but it's there. And there's also this : https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/131906-the-earliest-versions-of-kerbal-space-program/&

Harry Rhodan
You can still find the old demo on some third party sites: https://en.softonic.com/download/kerbal-space-program/windows

It's tricky, but it's how I did it. Also… Google is your friend. https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithGame/?appid=231410
Soapstone
gog is drm free, but I just read something that Kerbal is DRM free no matter where you buy it, the only downside to this is I feel that steam is way too cumbersome a client with memory than gog is. If the game really is DRM free, though I may do the steam version before the sale is over.

Take advantage of the sale!
