After 700 hrs in ksp there’s nothing new to learn.

Have you tried building good airplanes yet? Good spaceplanes? Hydrofoils?

Or perhaps the next level of KSP is playing mods. Things like FAR or RSS. When you scale the system up to real-world sizes (or add ullage and boil off, etc.) the game gets a lot harder again. Do you want to know what rocket science is like in the real world?

Personally, I find that redesigning my old ships to work better is my favorite thing to do.

He's what you do. Take standard optimal design convention, and you put it in this pretty little box. Then you wrap the box up all nice and purdy like with this here ribbon. Now you take that nice and pretty box and throw it out the window... in to the path of a tractor trailer... with snow chains on.

Focus on style. form not function. Who cares if the end ISP is negative. If you have more parts that are non-functional then you baseline <insert automotive brand you don't like>. But if it has style and looks cool, and can do it's rate mission that's what matters here. After all the way I see it, if you're going to build a [rocket], why not do it with some style?
