DNA Data Storage

Ponderings:

There are several hundred million base pairs in each chromosome strand in human DNA.  Using the method for data storage/retrieval defined in the article, applied to a music format or digital image format, I'm wondering what each of us would sound and look like.  Just for ha-ha's mind you.

With all of these genetic discovery services now being offered these days, perhaps a YouMusic could become a novelty.

I guess it'll be a long monotonous noise, if one wouldn't apply any modulation. One could pack the 4 different "notes" in groups, apply some sot of modulation, change speed, ... then it would be a shorter less monotonous noise.

Who remembers analogue modems' handshake sounds ? Or cassettes ?

No problem with DNA music if use samples.

Punk-o-matic, good old classics.
(Warning, loud music).

Spoiler

P.S.
We should remember that DNA is coded in triplets. If every pair in a triplet is a bit, then every triplet can code 1 of 7 samples + pause.
Counting triplets as drum-guitar-bass, we can make a trio.

Analogue modems' handshake sounds: still have nightmares.
