So I have ubio welding installed and i was building a ssto with 307 parts but when I clicked the weld button nothing happened.

So it their a key I have to press or something becuase my craft lags waaay to much to fly.

I tried it for the first time yesterday. From reading the UbioZur thread it sounded like a "delicate" mod to get/keep working right. So, what I did was set up a clean install of KSP 1.4.5 (the latest release for UbioZur) with only the mods I needed for the parts I was welding. After welding the part I moved it to my 1.7 save for testing. I'll admit I was only welding 26 parts instead of 300+ to create a 3.75m Greenhouse.

From reading the UbioZur thread, I wouldn't hold out hope that your welded part is going to behave like you expect. KSP still has to render all 300+ models, it just collapses the physics down to one part. Also depending on how smart you've been selecting the parts to weld, you're welded craft may not behave at all like you expect.

but does it work in 1.7

YES. But not with Module Manager 4. You need to use Module Manager 3 in order to work. I will spare you the sordid details of the problem, just thrust me. :)

Detailed information about the fork I know for sure is kinda working is here:

It only support 1.3 style parts - i.e: it will not weld correctly parts with MODULEPARTVARIANTs. Other than that, it works. I don't know about the working status of any other fork - perhaps they are working too, and since some people didn't liked too much this fork of mine they can be a better option perhaps.

So you need to try it for yourself. Backup your savegames - just in case. :)

Smart guy. In God Code, we thrust! :D (everybody else pays in cash!)

Spoiler

The problem is, essentially, **this**:

https://github.com/net-lisias-ksp/ModuleManager/commit/ff9f34ce5cb7da1cd40194dfaebdf999035aaa7f

By using the services of UnityEngine.Object.FindObject thingy, you can avoid relying on the Mono's bugged Reflection.
