Why aren't my parachutes going onto body of rocket flush?

You need to turn the snap on.

Bottom left corner of the screen, there's a button that has a yellow circle in it.  Click on it, and it'll turn into a hexagon.

You can also toggle it with "C".

Unless I need to fine tune something, I always have it on.  Not having it on makes everything all wonky because nothing's actually lined up in a way that makes sense.

You'll probably want to re-do your goo containers once it's on.

The one with the yellow dot is your symmetry.  Toggles with X, you'll want to play with that as well.

OMG thank you so much!  I never would have figured that out on my own.

The game would be stupid unplayable without the snap feature.  I am completely baffled as to why it defaults to off.
