StrandedonEarth
Dammit, my kid has to work tonight (graveyard shift stocking shelves at the grocery store). Which means I'll be picking him at 530am, so I'll miss the launch... Hope it scrubs, for purely selfish reasons...
tater
If that's the case, sit in the parking lot for a few minutes, if it goes at the start of the window, it'll be in orbit in <10 minutes. Core MECO is at T +8:20, ICPS sep is at T+ 8:30. So watch on your phone. Edited August 28, 2022 by tater

Geonovast
I'm going to be in a waiting room in a building where I'll have zero cell service, and no public wifi that I'm aware of. I might have to watch... on the news.

Normally I'd be fine with a scrub, but the timing on this is not great, as it gets into September, weather will become a nontrivial concern I think. tater
Annoying patter (NSF, so...), but they have NASA camera feeds (wonder why the rest of us can't just look at those): NASA stream no chatter right now, unsure when the clean feed is officially up (what I plan to watch). Downside? Glorious 720p. 1080p has been common since SLS was started. It's not like they have not had time to catch up. Yeesh.
Superluminal Gremlin
Is there meant to be a launch hold at T-6h:40?
tater
Holding cryo loading for lightning constraints. Storm is SE, heading NW
Superluminal Gremlin
How much longer are they predicting the hold to be? Stupid storms
tater
Weather forecast actually looks pretty horrid. 8 minutes ago, TKMK said: How much longer are they predicting the hold to be? Stupid storms Pull up a weather radar page, and take a look. https://www.wftv.com/weather/ Today (FL), Sept 2, and Sept 5. That red X with a 70% chance of forming a tropical storm is not great for the next opportunity, though maybe the low N pulls it away from FL. Have to wait for it to form so the tropical storm people can show their models. The NASA feed I posted above has no chatter except mission control PAO. tater
Trend is OK on the current squall, maybe they can squeak tanking in. Window is 2 hours, the 6 hour 40 min clock includes tanking, so they have a few hours to play with still.
tater
Clock counting down, <20% risk so go for cryo
tater
Hitting the sack... next time I check on SLS I'll have an espresso in my hand.
Beccab
Hydrogen slow fill had also begun, 3-4 hours of fueling operations now

Might appear 1080p, but actual 1080p may only apply to the graphical elements, while the actual footage of SLS is still 720p.

NSF has their own cameras on site as well as access to engineering ground cameras, it is higher quality
Beccab
Hydrogen leak! Fueling has been stopped, the situation is being evaluated atm The problem hasn't been identified, they're going to start slow fill again and try again to see if the transition to fast fill works this time

Codraroll
If the whole thing caught fire and burned down at the launchpad, it would simultaneously be the saddest and funniest thing in spaceflight history.

Beccab
Fueling started again, this time LH2 fast fill. There's a leak, but they've decided to accept it as it's 1.8% hydrogen concentration atm

Beccab
There appears to be crack in a flange of an inner tank, there's frost building up on the outside The hydrogen bleed issue near the RS-25 that prevented completing the fourth WRD is also still being worked on
