Orbital Reconnaisance

Recommended Posts

This is a mission for "DMagic Orbital Science" parts. The OP contains a few information about this:

Quote

Long Term Orbital Reconnaissance Mission

  • Use a vessel equipped with the requested recon part to study a planet or moon and search for the presence of any anomalous signals. Match the requested orbit and remain in orbit for the specified amount of time.
  • The vessel does not need to remain active during the entire mission. You only need to achieve orbit and meet the required orbital parameters while the vessel is active. From that point on you can return to the space center or other vessels.
  • No science value required for the experiment parameters, but the results must be returned or transmitted; results do not need to be collected before the orbital parameters are completed.
  • Emphasis is on Funds rewards
  • Max of two simultaneous missions by default.

The mod contains two science parts for this: "Big Brother Stereo Surveillance Camera" and "Little Brother Surveillance Camera". In order to complete this contract, put the little camera on a vessel, dock it to the station "Space Lab 1" and run the experiment :)

Why the little camera? Well, I've peaked into the source code and you need the little camera to perform a "trivial" recon contract but I guess, there is a way to figure this out ingame and I just don't know about it, sry^^

@4x4cheesecake is right about how orbital recon usually works but I've never seen one that looked like that. I'm not sure this is a DMagic contract. Looks more like Bases and Stations contract picked up orbital recon as a possible experiment (which, maybe it isn't?).

@FreeThinker can you share a save with this contact available / accepted? Or at least post the contract node from the save.

Also, would it be a correct guess you're using Strategia and maybe have contract slot machine on?
