Changing menus causes screen to go black - not frozen

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just installed what I think is a light collection of mods. During gameplay, sometimes changing between menus eg. VAB to Space Center, Space Center to Main Menu, Center to Mission Control etc. causes the entire screen to go black. The background music still plays, some UI buttons (like toolbar) still appear and function, and windows does not report the application as non-responsive. I simply can't do anything because the screen is black. I know a lot of issues are RAM related, but I'm playing on x64 with 24gb of RAM and it hasn't come close to using everything.

KSP Version 1.7.3.2594 for windows

CKAN 1.26.4

Module Manager 4.0.3

Steps: Playing for a while and then clicking out of a building

Log:

Mods Installed:

Any help diagnosing would be appreciated. Even some help on how to debug on my own would be great. I'm just not that familiar with how to figure out what's going on short of removing mods 1 at a time.

If you have many mods remove them in small groups, like remove 8 at the same time. You can quickly find which group/mod causes the problem that way.

Well if the problem can be triggered easily and on command.I have no experience in reading logs, just wanted to add this small tip in finding the mod that causes the problem faster.

Having the same issue, Linux Mint 19.x, GTX1050Ti, 16 RAM.

When I switch screens it fades to black... just started with latest version of KSP.

I thought it was Kopernicus/JNSQ but it isn't..  It happens on a fresh install too.  Using the same Mods I've always used.
