So after countless attempts (with and without MechJeb) I finally landed (Crashed) and survived. okay so I crashed but the big part is I survived.

And we're off:

Arriving:

Close...

MechJeb Troll engaged: "Oh hey, I see you want to land vertically?"

"Here try landing horizontally, it's much better."

Thank god for quicksaving, and getting closer to landing again:

This one is Bills fault:

And we hit the ground at 10m/sish but hit with a lot of horizontal velocity, and on a hill. Lander flips, Bill ejects:

Bill: "That was not me. ****."

Bill goes exploring and finds Mimus in the sky:

Bill is bad at landing with jetpacks too:

My command pod survived, and all my crew, plus cool Kerbin shot:

Found a lander leg section....

So that's all my pics, sorry for the massive amounts. But yeah, maybe some would call it a failure, but it is the first time my crew survived and went on an EVA on the Mun. Gonna launch a rescue mission later. :) And when I found out my crew survived, I started jamming out and almost dancing like this.

Thanks guys, and yeah but how do I do that? If I launch with a crew capsule to hold this the game puts Kerbals in it so I'd have no room for them.

I believe it will take two missions, but while you are still on the launch pad, EVA two kerbals out, then launch. You will fly to the mun with one kerbal, then pick up two on the mun and fly back. Then launch another mission doing the same and go get the last kerbal stuck on the mun.

Tab only switches the camera settings on the map screen. The square brackets keys [ and ] will transfer you between ships and objects, if they are close enough to each other. On the map view you can double-click to switch to another ship, kerbal, or piece of debris, but also only within a certain distance. Otherwise, you'll need to go through the tracking station.

I figured I'd let Mechjeb try to land, just to see if I could.

And MechJeb....

..Sticks the landing?! :D Win.

Though this isn't a rescue mission, the six Kerbanauts will now be a part of a temporary Mun base. :P Will launch another empty lander for the other 3 in case I do want to bring them home though.
