You are only offered contracts that belong to the Programs you select. 3rd Party contract packs won't belong to any Program so therefore will not show up to be selected. I was hopeful there was a work around since The history of space flight RSS contract pack mentioned that it worked with ro/rp1 for some reason. Could have been a misunderstanding and they meant RO only. It's more likely it worked in the old version, before Progams and Launch Complexes (PLC Update) were introduced. It would have worked back then before Programs, the information is just out of date. You really don't need extra contacts though, there is lots to do that will keep you busy for hours and hours! The wiki describes it as the computers, hydraulics, actuators, and other stuff that is needed to control the rocket. A good bit of this mass seems to be made up of things that are specific to a certain stage, but the avionics do not appear to stack in any way.
