I had an idea for a mod that I hadn't seen posted yet.  I've been playing with Stage Recovery and thought a lot of players may like a mod that does the following:

It is an automated cross between @SIT89's FMRS and @magico13 Stage Recovery (both maintained by @linuxgurugamer).  Using something like @sarbian's MechJeb, it is a controller that when staged/activated will:

  1. Set the just staged stage's course to retrograde.  :retrograde:
  2. When close to retrograde after a minimum time, relight the engine(s). :cool:
  3. Use %% fuel to boost back towards the launch site to maximize recovery :funds::funds::funds: and reduce the chance the stage burns up on re-entry. 

Knowing Sarbian, it's probably already buried somewhere in MechJeb now. ;) 

Does such an automated mod already exist?
