[Request] Delta-V maps

Recommended Posts

Well, the Kerbol system has grown. With the time and distances involved, a little more planning and little less trial-and-error is in order. I also have some plans in the coming months for some elaborate missions. So that leads me to ask...

Are there any diligent souls out there willing to put together, and share, a Delta-V map for the Kerbol system?

So that's not just getting to and from the planets, but also to the moons of the planets and back to low host orbit. Oh, and getting into orbit from the ground as well.

Okay, KSP 0.17 has been out for a while now, so I thought it might be a good idea to bring this topic back up: could any of you folks who already landed crewed missions in the Kerbol System give us estimates on the ∆v required to go from the planets' and moons' surface back to low orbit? That would be incredibly useful for designing my first crewed landing! (only done orbital crewed missions so far)

Anyone else? ∆v estimates for Duna and Eve, at least?

Just did a MechJeb Ascent from Duna. Delta-V was 1460 m/s... so lets just make that a nice safe and round 1.5 km/s.

Eve is ... well Eve.

Thanks for the Duna data!

And yep for Eve, nhnifong's latest attempt at an Evian liftoff in the Picures thread says enough...

There is also an app called KSP Calculator wich does it automaticly inclusive landing and return. Currently it is outdated because of KSP 1.0 (delta v to LKO is now 3500 instead of 4500) but the required delta V used for travelling is still pretty accurate.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
