Could we get some non physical cables and fuel lines?

Recommended Posts

It would be nice to have a part like "50m cables" or "50m fuel line" that is not physical and in case of "landed" could be connected by engineer (pilots are piromans and scientist are simply mad, engineers are good for cables) without invoking phy engine to extend of this range?

To transfer electricity (as for example lights for landing site), fuel, lox?

Because otherwise we end up with monstrous plumbing:

That invoke Mighty Kraken sometimes during conections (and sometimes not if no laggy and allowing to release motors in robotics):

I guess that cables for DC would weight a bit, but any way - phy is far from reason.

I build similiar (KAS) train in stock, but after hundreds of kilometers is start to look bad (however works). This one looks reasonable.

MKS also looks good - sure I try in next career mode. I just took grasp of game mechanics this first time.

I'm hoping the announced anchoring feature will also help mitigating this problem. Having to try docking my rovers multiple times because suddenly the rover decided to take a 180° front flip and destroy my refueling base is quite annoying.

I stopped using cables and went with MKS and the local logistics feature. Crafts need only be in the vicinity of each other and resources can be transferred

There is an explanation of how it works on the wiki for the mod: MKS Logistics

Oddly enough, you can transfer inventory items between craft that are near each other.

Spring tension and dumper - turn it to around 0.
