A 45G antenna/relay

Recommended Posts

Sometimes, I find the gap between the 15G antennas and the 100G ones a bit frustrating. I want to build a compact relay, with a long range but without having a few different comms devices. A 45G antenna, maybe at 1.8 diameter but a 1.2 base to attach to Non DLC parts and some probe cores. It would be nice to have this in stock for the people on console. I’m on console, and I rather be on PC so be quiet!
Shoot, I gotta get to school, I’ll put the rest in when I’m back

in ksp 2 ill think they will redo all antennas entirely and mayby even their use and their functions. there wil probably also be really big antennas for comm between stars

I read that and had this funny mental picture of Bill working on a 20 m wide dish in orbit!:joy:

They are combinable though so you could put multiples on to increase range. It's not linear (I think range * (number of antennae * 75%)) but if you stick 4 on, it would certainly fill the gap if a dedicated option wasn't introduced.

The weight difference of the 100G antenna isn't that great; and its design means it can be mounted quite easily too. So it kinda renders any 50G gap-filler moot.

Sure, the weight isn't a problem, bit the size is for me. At it's largest point, it is 2.5 meters in diameter.
