Question

So I'm new to these forums. I have played KSP since around 2014. But I was wondering something.

I used to have a server on a block game that I played with my friends all the time, but on May 2nd the server had to shut down, so I didn't have any more friends.

But then I re-discovered KSP in my steam library.

I clicked Play on it to relive some memories. And now I'm hooked again.

So I wanna know.

This is a singleplayer game. Why is it the most enjoyable game I have played in so long? What is happening with this game?

Yes, it is. Although there are a few users who are stock players who will email game files, place them in DropBox, etc. So...

Because it is literally a free-style game. There's no right or wrong way to play it. You can build anything you want - and it doesn't even have to go into space to have fun.

@SQUAD continues to develop content for the game. So does our brigades of volunteer mod-makers. This game, in spite of some very premature announcements, is far from dead. In fact, I believe it will be one of those few games that the community keeps it going for a long time after any sort of official support or development ends. So, welcome back to KSP and may you have many more hours (which will stretch into years) of enjoyment from the game and camaraderie from one of the best gaming communities on the Internet.

You got that right! I mostly build construction equipment (Look at my member title for a clue to what kind I build most of) in KSP, and make YouTube videos of them (There is a link in my signature if you want to check it out. If not, then disregard this message) one of the main reasons why I love KSP is I can build anything, and that the only things limiting me are my imagination, my mods, and the speed of my computer!

Welcome to the forum, @krblman! I have found it to be a helpful, kind, and sometimes funny community, and I hope you will too! If you ever have any problems or questions, just ask! If you just want to rant about pointless stuff and have some fun, go to the lounge (I recommend Misguided Kerbal's Megathread)

If posts had musical accompaniments, this one would be the piano music from the end of the 70s Incredible Hulk TV show ;.;

It’s very unique in that you get to design, build and test almost anything you can think up. And that’s without even going to space or landing on other planets as @adsii1970 said.

It’s also one of very few games that rewards/satisfies intelligence. When you have a market full of “mindlessly shoot anything that moves” games, it’s refreshing to have something that you can ‘work out’ if you want to and test physics/maths theories etc.

That's extremely relatable. I agree!
