In the KSP2 Feature video from Friday there were some...interesting teases including this:

At first glance this is a reference to the arecibo message:

And it probably is BUT it might also be a reference to this:
What could be the strange SSTV signal from duna? - KSP Discussion - Kerbal Space Program Forums*Intense music

hahaha! but none of you remember this do you? this is the Duna SSTV signal, as you can see for the past few day I have gone full conspiracy mode trying to figure this out and I have a theory.

My Master Theory:

The message at the end of this video is a nod from from the developers that a long scrapped plotline will be included, this is a paragraph from the Wiki which explains this:

Spoiler

In a forum post from late 2013,[1] Squad member Jeff C.(NovaSilisko) described an idea he had for connecting many easter eggs into a story concerning a civilization which predated the Kerbals. Experiments with interstellar travel resulted in the homeworld of this "precursor civilization" being flung out into an extremely distant orbit. Before they froze to death, they launched monoliths and other messages onto many planets and moons in hopes of seeding intelligent life. Instead, they created Kerbals, not-so-intelligent life.

The planet would not show up in any map and would be too distant to be observed with a telescope, making locating it by chance nearly impossible. However, players would be able to find transmitters beaming out SSTV signals on various bodies, each one of which would provide part of the orbital parameters necessary to locate it. The planet would be a bit smaller than Kerbin, covered in ruined cities and frozen oceans, and perpetually in twilight due to being so far from Kerbol.

The only element of this narrative which made it into the game is the SSTV transmitter on Duna, which transmits an image originally intended to depict 4 members of the precursor civilization standing on their homeworld, with the logo of their government. Had the narrative story been completed, it would also have contained part of the orbital parameters. Because the story was never implemented into the game, this explanation for the SSTV signal's imagery is arguably non-canon.[2]

Trying to find the planet in KSP1 is futile because as far as we know it was never implemented and without the other pyramids you cannot really get enough clues to figure out what you WOULD have have to do, the only thing I can make out is an orange circle and the word "Bop" which leads you to the Bop anomalies where you'll run into another dead end without more clues.

But who knows, maybe it is out there and the dev's are giggling at me as they read this.

But now we have the message from the feature, the first new message in sound in years, and while it's unrelated to the hunt for the lost planet in terms of clues, it's clearly a nod to the SSTV pyramid which should not really be important anymore.

And earlier in the feature we saw this:

Spoiler

Yes that's right, a planet, far beyond Eeloo, with a bunch of question marks.

Holy...

So, I can say with confidence that either the lost planet is being put in KSP 2, or that I'm going mad.

Have a nice day.

My theory is the rocket or the kerbal are coming to a planet and are sending a message to the planet about who they are (like the Arecibo message).  We can see that the rocket is from the kerbol system by the line that from the kerbol system to the rocket (point out by shadowzone from his new video).  And the planet they sending  the message to is earth. Think about the kerbils are sending a message to us, saying they are coming to our planet. Look at the planet at the bottom is huge compared to kerbin. And earth would be huge to kerbin because isn’t earth like the size of jool. So the kerbils are trying to tell us that they are coming to earth(aka the release of ksp 2) and are sending a message to earth about them self(like the Arecibo message again) before they arrive.
