That video raised my curiosity. Experiment on this video shows how satellite would behave on re-entry, with intention to everything burn down before it hit ground.

However, is there info about similar experiment, but with magnetic field for heat shield ? It is known that magnetic field can deflect hot plasma. Experimental fussion reactor using strong magnetic field to keep plasma traped within magnetic field (still not long enough, though). Any info I could found on this topic is some articles in pair with rumors at best, without some more serious data or videos like in OP.

Does anyone here know more about that topic ? How strong magnetic field need to be to properly deflect hot plasma ?
