Atmospheric survey contract-location not loading

I have  a contract to take pressure  readings on the surface at four locations which are all in the same area.  I landed and and did the first one, and I just taxied back to the area for the next. However, the game has not told me I am entering the area.  I am dead in the middle of it and it is not accepting my reading.

Thoughts?

Are you sure? You're a bit away from it on the map.

How do you mean?  My aircraft is in the middle of it---or is it only referring to where the the pointy bit is?

Are you sure, really sure, the pointy bit isn't where the center of the area is? It's common knowledge that the pointy bit is supposed to be where the icon is pointing, not the more ambiguous middle.

Sorry, not so common. It looked like a target to me.

Okay, managed to get it. I did not realize the area was so small.

Yeah, ground targets are extremely small in radius (especially if it's a 3-star contract). You have to target each of the waypoints, then follow those targets on the navball until they blink and you get a notification on the screen.
