What would I use for a custom tech tree?

I'm trying to create a custom tech tree because I do not like the stock ksp tech tree, it is boring, and bad, and bad, and terrible.

waht mods would i use to create my own custom tech tree or whatever because my attention span for googling things lasts 2 minutes and no higher

Creating your own tech tree isn't that difficult, but most people either use the Community Tech Tree or one of the bundled, proprietary tech trees for overhaul mods.

A LOT of mods with parts come with CTT configs (it's effectively a must, at this point), so it's definitely the easiest, most comprehensive tech tree mod that will work even if you add new content halfway in a playthrough.

Happy to give you some pointers.  I use a combination of excel, word and notepad plus.

Ultimately, to keep your sanity it is best to use something to keep you organised.  Hence my use of excel.  Word is only for an intermeadiate copying step.

Step 1 planning: if you are using only the Stock nodes, rearranging the existing nodes.  If you look in the Simplex Tech Tree file you'll find all the names neatly laid out.  PM me if you want some help.
