Saves dont show up but are still there

When I open my game and try to load a save, but no saves are there! They still exist in the game files and if I try to make a new save with the same name of something in the files it says that this name is already taken. The game knows its there but I cant see them. Is there any way to fix this and if so how could something like this happen?


* Ignore this i fixed the problem. apparently something in my save files was causing the game to freak out and not load the saves

What mods do you have installed? Do any of them change how saves and loads work? Start your investigation there.

Backup your entire KSP folder (everything: game+mods+saves+settings) before proceeding, just in case your attempted fixes make things worse.

To add to what @DeadJohn said, providing a few screenshots will also help.  Shots of your mods folder, shots of your saves folder, and shots from inside the game itself where you are expecting to see a list of the saved games to choose from.  Please and thank you!
