Good “single” player games.

Are there any good “single” player games that came out lately? I’ve completed Watch dogs 2 also the Witcher 3 game and the far cry series also call of duty MW 2019 campaign and horizon zero dawn and Ghost of Tsushima & days gone also. And I’m looking for more campaign games to play that are single player only. I don’t like games like Bloodborne or Elden ring or dark souls as they’re too hard and are online only though I’m more interested in FPS/RPG and action adventure games any recommendations?

So many old games it is not funny.

I highly recommend grey plague for obvious reasons..... you'll see why. Just check it out if you do. Unfortunately ending number one appears impossible and I have yet to find anyone to beat it.

It's also not a long game... which is a huge plus.

Our Personal Space is great too, (better than the sequel in my opinion as you have far more options to explore).

Both games are free to play.

Not your type?

Try an emulator and I highly reccomend PIotwings, the snes version is easier controller-wise for emulation but if you dare you can also try the nintendo 64 emulator. It is a game about controlling flight in many forms.... like the snes version of KSP without engineering.

I would highly recommend StarCraft (3 campaigns) and its expansion Brood Wars (three more campaigns). It's real-time-strategy and can get fairly intense. You can also play single-player custom games against 1-7 AI opponents

The Civilization series is a fairly good set of turn-based strategy games; I've played Civ IV and VI myself...

I have Civ VI... and its... 'good' - but not as compelling a title as it once was.  They've squashed so much stuff into it that the timelines seem compressed.  Like, you spend so much time working your way up to swordsmen - and then before you know it your tech advances are going so fast that you've already got Muketeers and then you're racing for spaceflight.

Wars and movement are ridiculous in this scenario by the way.  I had a campaign where I was getting ready to have a conflict with a neighbor; both of us had sword/spear and horse units, and by the time I got to the point where I had defeated his initial invasion army and was setting up to conquer territory I was fielding riflemen.  Before long I had mech infantry running all over the place and was pushing to get the tech to build spaceflight... and suddenly realized I wasn't really having fun.

I wish they had baked into the game the ability to work in 'Eras' - so I could have a long game that let me work my way up through the age of iron, or play the Rennaissance to Industrialization periods.

Also - they've spent so much on graphics that the map often just looks busy.

...

Frankly - I wish there was a way to get some really old game, like the original Medieval Total War running; that was a slow, well paced and strategic game (if I recall correctly).  The later Total War games just went off the rails.

If you want something fun and quirky, try Satisfactory.
