Why does the tutorial ask you to use parts that are not present?

I am in career mode and doing well.  I went back to try out some tutorials and despite my previous experience the tutorials are horribly written  and lack education.  Tutorials are not a time for quips and asides and that is what the tutorials seem to be about more than actual teaching.  I cannot even get past the advanced construction one because it calls for a swivel engine but the engine is not even in the list.  It is ridiculous the game is this old and no one has bothered to clean up the most important part of getting users playing. DUMB

Ironically, that bug is a lot newer than the game (as are the tutorials, for what that's worth), and there's a mod to fix it:

Dang that mod is over a year old and the bug has not been actually fixed with an update.  My hopes for the upcoming Kerbal 2 are kind of dashed by this.

The Tutorial Fixes mod is 3.5 months old. Its first release was Jan 1 of this year.
