The same atmosphere-skipping idea was actually adopted by the US and became the basis for the X-20 Dyna-Soar, of which there's already a mod for, if you want to try it out for yourself.

yea but tbh the dyna soar is a bit boring, you should try paragliding down like i did with this (totally not ripped off of ETS concept)
