Rocket keeps tipping, but I don't know why...

Recommended Posts

I'm a  'moderate' player. I've had a subassembly of boosters that I use for almost everything, from ship components to landers, to full blown Space Station Segments, and all of them work flawlessly.

This time around, I'm building a rover. The boosters alone will be enough to take it to Eve and let it drop. Large battery, four solar panels, plenty of science, large arm. It's a lot smaller than most everything else I've launched with this booster set up. I've put advanced flywheels at top and mid-section... and yet the thing keeps tipping over a few seconds after launch, and I don't know why. Is there some 'Control From Here' feature I'm missing? Not enough auto struts? Is the arm just that heavy?

Check the navball and make sure it's all blue while sitting on the pad. The craft might be taking some rover part as its orientation point.

Yup, that did it. An hour, I spent redesigning this thing yesterday. Feeling decidedly stupid, but grateful to you.
