Deginantisgameris
I have played KSP with interstellar extended mod and seeing that many of parts look similar. I wonder if there will be any warpdrives in KSP2
Rutabaga22
Warp drives are not in ksp2. The interstellar engines in ksp2 are not in the first update.

I'll also add no jump drives, wormholes, star gates or anything that will remove the hard slow way to reach other star systems. They will leave that to the modders. intelliCom
Faster than light travel breaks the laws of physics. Besides, if a spacecraft can be built to approach 99% the speed of light, from the ship's perspective it only takes maybe 2 years to get to a solar system which is actually 8 light years away. At least, I think that's how it works? I'm fine with being corrected. Edited January 10, 2023 by intelliCom

The ships perspective is that the ship is stationary, you mean from the frame of reference the starting point also it would take even less time, almost only 1 year at .99c, but most believe special relativity will not be accounted for as getting a ship to anywhere near .99 c even with ridiculously efficient drives is not feasible EDIT: I read that wrong, sorry. When you said "from the ships perspective" you were referring to time passing, not the velocity it reaches. You don't need a comma between perspective and it though as that should read straight through or there should be a period after speed of light as the sentence contains two separate ideas. Not trying to grammar nasi but the sentence was awkward to read. Edited October 23, 2022 by mcwaffles2003

Edit: didn’t see “from the ships perspective”. Never mind then Edited October 23, 2022 by Gargamel

Never mind then I'm not a complete nitwit when it comes to physics. I know that the "10x in a row winner of the Darwin Awards" primes you to think that, but it really isn't the case.
