Vortygont
Hello, if KSP2 will have more advanced manoeuvre planner than KSP, why not to add landing prediction? On the eye it is hard to predict where you land, because you can't really know how atmosphere resistance will affect on trajectory and how point of landing will move because of planet rotation. It would make game more easier, which can damage spirit or/and experience of ksp I think, but it can reduce another not so pleasent routine and you can concentrate on more interesting things. And it doesn't cancel process of creating your mission's route, when you plane all maneuvres and where you will land and start. Also you always have choice to not use this function if you don't like it Maybe you can balance this function by unlocking it only when you reached certain level of space center or have certain amount of navigation satellites on orbit

It depends on your entry angle, the drag of your vessel and how and when you activate your engines (especially if you rely on both parachutes and engines). Even in vacuum if the delta-V indicator assumes a suicide burn you'd need to also have a timer for when to start the burn.

Mecjeb has an landing indicator, think its standalone in the trajectories mod. It tries to calculate drag in the atmosphere, its inaccurate but in the ballpark for capsules. Pretty useless for space planes outside offsetting the rotation speed of the planet as it depend a lot on how you fly. As for the landing burn, it don't affect the point of landing that much if you have high twr compared with the gravity, trajectory will also be updated real time so you can adjust your direction to keep on target. For parachutes, it depend on the planet but also on the setting. I send a mission to Duna, it has an transfer stage and a lander, and a rocket to get this into LKO. The parachutes would obviously only be used for the lander. To land on Duna its a hard to land accurately with parachutes as you will need to come in at an shallow angle, but unlike Kerbin you are still moving mostly horizontal then you activates the drogues. Well, kerbal engineer mod already solved all that, so not that technically a problem. In fact I wish we had detailed info of the ship and orbits and intercepts like kerbal engineer by default in the game.
