How to make cool looking realistic rockets(maybe even replicas)

Im new to KSP and i watch all these videos by gameplayreviewUK and matt lowne making these cool looking realistic rockets like replicas of the saturn v and probes etc. I was wondering if you experts had tips on making amazing builds like these Youtubers make

Some players, especially those making aircraft replicas, are amazingly proficient with using many small parts to shape custom fuselages and cockpits. I'm not that patient to even try it.

Other players use mods. For example, search the forum for "Bluedog Design Bureau" if you want to make an excellent Saturn V or other historical USA rockets. Similarly "Tantares" has USSR rockets, "Knes" has French and ESA rockets. Modding can turn into a deep hole that consumes your computer's resources and your spare time

While i have around 6 GB of space(enough for mods) on my laptop, im focusing more on stock replicas and builds, but this is very helpful thanks!

You can also use fairings. On Kerbal X, several people cover fuel tanks with white or silver fairings which make the rockets look incredibly realistic!
