Orbital lines disappeared

Recommended Posts

I just completed landing on the Mun and then my fuel glitched (another issued I'll describe below later), so I loaded a quick save.

Upon load however, my vessel had no orbital lines and I could not get them back by re-loading or by going to the tracking station and back.

This is a major issue, especially for a space game

I took more screenshots but these show it off best. You can find my Steam Screenshots for KSP2 here:

In the end I had to recover my vessel as it randomly broke from the Kraken near Kerbin:

You can see what happens here with this video in the same mission:

As mentioned earlier, there is a fuel glitch and it keeps happening to me on most vessels.

Basically fuel from upper stages is being used for lower stages even when there are no fuel lines and crossfeed is disabled. I have to keep using the recourse manager to keep refilling the upper stage tanks that keep being emptied

Its like the struts are being used as fuel lines....

I had this same issue building a vessel in Orbit, Transferring fuel into one tank, accelerating slightly and then redistributing fuel fixed it.

It seemed to happen when a new part was docked.

I also noticed when it was orbiting without the Orbital line that going to tracking station would cause the vessel to lose all forward momentum and fall out of orbit.

I didn't have this. I had to keep re-fuelling as every time I used my engines it used the upper stage fuel too

I never docked in this vessel, but good to know

I didn't have this, but maybe I didn't allow enough time? Either way the only way to check my orbit was from the ship view under the navball

This is a known issue and has multiple bug report threads.  And I'm not sure if there is a solution/work-around yet.

My “workaround” is to abuse the heck out of the current game system (bug?) that allows us to Recover vessels in the Tracking Station from anywhere, no matter whether landed or in oribt, from any body in the system.

I've also had issues with orbital lines disappearing & fuel being consumed from upper stages -- tried asparagus staging liquid fuel boosters and the game was not having it. All tanks (boosters and main stages) except the final return stage one drained simultaneously
