The devs must've given youtubers a polished dev build with which to advertise the game, because the release build looks nothing like the videos or ads up to release. Private division needs to be accused for false advertising.

My computer is perfectly capable of playing the game and at max graphics it simply does not look like the version that Private Division advertised. The week before release youtubers like Matt Lowne and a whole bunch of others started making videos of the games features and I am convinced that these videos that functioned as ads to generate hype for the game we're made with a developer build that was a better product than the version of the game we got at release. Because the game looks better in every way shape and form in these videos and ads than the way the game looked for me on release day. My pc specs are as follows: CPU-Ryzen 6-3600, GPU- Nvidia gtx3060 super, RAM-16gb high-speed DDR4, and I'm running Samsung solid state drives. I want to be clear my pc is perfectly capable of running this game at it's maximum graphics, this isn't simply a case of an under-powered system trying to run this. I believe that Private Division engaged in false advertisement, if anyone has any proof that the build handed out to these youtubers the week before release to make videos to generate hype around the game was a different one to the build we received on release day please email me with the evidence.

Right...

If you paid attention to Matt Lowne's videos before and after the Early Access release, you'd note two things:

  • His system at ESA and at home are spec'd much higher than yours, and he still had issues, but none of those were about visual quality.

I'm running a 5900X CPU, 3090Ti GPU, 32GB of RAM, 1TB NVME, 2TB SSD game drive, blah blah. This is lower than anything Matt used at ESA or at home, and I have no real issues with the graphics all set to High (apart from my electric bill no doubt increasing).

  • Matt and everyone else pretty much stated and showed that the build they were using at ESA was heavily bugged in addition to the game being incomplete. Some of the bugs they experience there don't appear for me at all. Probably because I have a newer build.

You must have missed Kerbal Space Program 2: Episode 6 - Early Access
Intercept was very clear about their intentions of releasing an early access build in the spirit of KSP 1's Software Development Cycle.

Even if it was different, Intercept never promised you'd get the same build, only that you would have the ability to play early access builds from now until the full release.

1st post troll.

#sarcasm: There's a fully polished version of KSP2 that was given to youtubers, yet a version with worse graphics and extra bugs was released to EA because the development team:

  • Is part of a conspiracy against the OP?
  • Likes drama?
  • Is bored and likes to read complaint emails?

Smelling is a cute verb in that case. The guy was so angry he typo'd his own name, and posted in the first section he saw, unfortunately, it's not the correct one for his subject…

I think there's nothing to see there.

  • 2 weeks later...

All Early Access games have bugs. Also, I'm sure that the version we are playing is newer than the one shown in the YouTube videos. I'm not having significant problems and my system is relatively modest compared to the recommended system. This game is still being developed and the feedback the developers get from Early Access will result in a significantly better product.
