Who made the mechJeb?

I am very interested in trying to find the original MechJeb mod, but everything I see is Mechjeb 2, if it still exists somewhere on the internet, please tell me. I really want to find the original mechjeb mod.

IIRC Mechjeb1 was deprecated way before I even got into KSP.   @sarbian have more info, but I’m pretty sure MJ1 was pretty much for the alpha versions only.

Several early replies mention version numbers beginning with "1" instead of "2", so that should at least get you back before the current "MechJeb2" branding. There do not seem to be any links to anything else from back then, but if you're just interested in the code history, it's all still there in git, starting from the "Initial import." commit here:

A bit late to the party since @HebaruSan already did the hard work.  @r4m0n and @The_Duck are the original brains behind MechJeb. From what I gathered from the old comments, it was the merge of two older mods.

I do not think I have any of the binaries from back then.
