Not slowing down on reentry

So, I was doing some testing today, and I can say with absolute confidence that I did NOT experience this bug.  New campaign, 0.1.3, new craft.  I had the Cornet engine on the Mk-1 Tin Can, and after burning all my fuel off during descent I decoupled...and kept slowing down.  I decoupled the engine below 30km, though, so perhaps it's an issue with when the command pod has nothing under it?  I also manually decoupled through the PAM instead of using the space bar, so maybe that's it?  Either way, after decoupling, kept slowing down and finallly was able to use the 2 chutes to land safely.

Any hot fix for this yet?  Having to wait another 2 months for the next update to fix what was working before doesn’t sound good : (       Or is there a way I can revert back to the previous patch?  I do a lot of reentry stuff with going to and from my space station. This is a major game breaking bug for me.

Despite the doom and gloom about KSP2, I bought it today - made a little rocket to orbit Kerbin with, re-entered.........and thats when the fun began. I can't really add anything else to the above reports suffice to say it happened to me.  Just before I plummeted into the ground though, the capsule did a nice little twirling animation which was interesting. I thought at least I could manage a re-entry but it seems the latest patch broke that as well as the other things mentioned above.

I feel so deflated and let down by this having logged up 1000 hours on KSP1, that I cannot even do a simple launch-orbit-land on Kerbin.

I am going back to KSP and getting a refund from Steam - thankfully I've only played 66 minutes!

Perhaps this game will be worth playing next time a sale is on.

schlosrat in a different thread has found a solution.

F5 followed by F9 after fixes the problem. Capsule immediately slows down upon reloading.
