Please fix the bugs before adding more content

There are many bugs that make it very difficult to play, such as the DV changing by itself, you create a rocket, it has 12k of DV, saves and loads, and it changes to 9k. Among others, for example in the EEV in the KSP you put 4 anchors and you wanted to put 4 rockets and they were put directly if you had put the anchors in mirror mode that is not done now and you assemble them where you want

DV calculus were already very questionable in KSP1 with no repeatability even on very simple builds. I have numerous cases about it, like simply changing from Engine A to B and then reverting to A, DV would change sometimes...

It's for simple builds. For "complex" (like, just advanced, nothing terrible, really), it won't ever show correct numbers.

KSP2 is even worse in every part : it makes the DV totally unusable while mods does it correctly (mostly) for years and years on KSP1. I don't get it.

I agree with you totally, @tuxkiller. My opinion though, reading between the lines of how this launch went not as well as expected, is that I think that Take Two has an emphasis on adding to the player count. People like us who bought the game and are frustrated with the bugs are not going to purchase another copy if they fix the bugs, but if they can greate some hype (like they did for For Science!), they can move a few more copies to people new to the franchise.
I'm not sure Take Two has done the math on how players like us, who are frustrated with the bugs currently, might reccommend the game to others if they fixed the bugs.

Also, I'll admit I've never run a games publishing studio before, so I could be totally wrong, but in the jobs I have had where the task was to sell a product to as many customers as possible, we didn't sell objectively broken merchandise at 80% full price with capybara stickers all over it, lol.

And that is where they are wrong in my opinion. Me playing and liking KSP 1 was the reason for 6 more sold copies that I gave to various kids of various ages of friends and family. And probably a couple more who bought it themselves.

I, for one, think they should just leave the bugs in. Even better, they should add more new, exciting bugs in - keep us all on our toes, y'know?

Sorry, but April 1 has already come and gone and they missed their opportunity to declare The Kraken a protected, endangered species that they were now legally obligated to protect and preserve ;p

You know, once the storm is over (and it will be over sooner or later, in a way or another), this will be an excellent ingame joke. :)

Well... I will give you my 2 cents, as there're some correlation with some things that happens to me on DayJob©.

The sad true is that "Done" is better than "Perfect". Clients want their problems solved with the less friction possible (i.e., the less amount of bugs possible), but they want their problems solved. Point. They can handle the bugs, as long the net value is positive (and above the cost of migrating to the competition, of course).

I want to share with you guys this excellent article that I think fits this discussion, besides indirectly.

So, nope. They can't stop delivering new features to focus on bug-hunting, they need to do both at the same time - because otherwise they will not sell more copies or keep the engagement high, and I think (for reasons that I don't dare to publish openly) they really need such engagement and copies sold in the short to medium term in order to keep afloat.

As usual, we (users and development team) will need to compromise to each other somehow.

That said, I'm not saying you are wrong - you are correct in every angle. Without people complaining about the worst show stoppers, the DevTeam will not be able to prioritize them. I'm addressing this in the hopes to help on managing expectations - I doubt they will be able to focus on bug hunting as you (reasonably) want.
