I don't think Godot is going to be the future anymore, I will decline to further comment the subject.

If we still have a chance, the name of the game will be Redot.

Hopefully not. Godot Foundation is going the way of Mozilla - check what happened with the Mozilla products after Brendan Eich left it in 2014 and you will see what's going to happen to Godot, but way faster as these guys don't have Google funding them.

Literally, forget Godot. If Redot or another fork don't manage to retake the technical direction of the project, Unity will be the default choice for new Indie development. Again.
