I was playing with the configs a lot independently, and jeez is it frustrating. Edit edit: Seems I need to learn how to play with the in-game editors, because my text-based method is too slow for experimentation. Edit: Blackrack gave a workaround for the "sunflare passing through planet issue" here. Note that this is related to deferred rendering only. I have to delete the remove stock clouds config to even get clouds to be visible at all, and they are just normal 2D clouds.
