oh dear, the mods are going to be driven insane aproveing all the "old- but now new again- users" first 5 posts.

at least we can edit our profiles before we make 5 posts. I just can't right now because i am at work, the best place to spend time of forums!

Thing is, if they can't restore the last six months, then I have to wonder if it was even worthwhile to restore anything else, because those old layers just aren't very useful. A thread made three or four versions of KSP back isn't going to be very relevant to any discussions of the current version, after all. And so many of the most useful recent threads, like the discussion of the resource chart, are just gone outright.

It might have been better to just start with a clean slate.

the only bad thing about the reboot is the addons.... Bobcat and devo.... there gone... so are their forum posts.... and all of the mods are 0.17. hopefully they come back. i loved their mods

I got lucky somehow when my account survived even though I made it on Oct 1st, but practically everything else related to it is gone, and along with the massive losses for the fourm and everyone who uses it in general makes it hard to feel happy that I sorta made it

Some people complain about this as being unprofessional. I don't think it is. Having dabbled in webhosting before, I know how crippling a database crash can be. It's amazing they got it up as fast as they did! Too bad the backup was a bit borked, but I guess these things happen.

I believe they're intentionally disabled, something in the spoiler scripting is exploitable.
