kspenjoyer1234
I'm testing out a space shuttle I've built, and I added parachutes to the SRBs so I can recover them afterwards. I have them staged so the parachutes are ready to deploy when I jettison the booster. For some reason they don't deploy, and the boosters crash. Any solutions? Also I have Kerbal Engineer, and a few visual mods installed (just letting you know incase any of those could be causing my issue). Vanamonde
I don't know what that mod does but in stock after a separate ship gets too far from the one you're flying the game no longer treats it as a real ship and it can be eliminated.

Vanamonde
There are mods which can get around that but I don't know which ones.

jimmymcgoochie
I'd suggest Stage Recovery for the simplicity of it- slap some parachutes on and it just recovers any dropped stages when they go below the Death ZoneTM (about 25km I think?), easily configurable to get more or less funds back. FMRS tends to be more useful for flyback boosters as it allows you to fly the different parts of the rocket at the same time.
