What did you do in KSP1 today?

I drilled my first ever Kethane on Duna!

The Kethane Sausage was not easy to land due to it's COM being offset, but once it was on the ground it drove really well, and when I reached the Kethane site it slurped it up just great, and had plenty of power to operate the drill and converter. It only has a small tank, but it's only a prospecting rover, it has a docking port to attach to my Duna landers and one of them is only 6km away from the drill site so I can test that out then send some bigger ships once I know what's practical.

Yestarday played with a Rover VTOL. Should have taken a picture. Maybe for another time. But, found out that it does help to have either CoM or probe part in the middle to help align the craft while in flight. Might just build a jet instead that has some VTOL capability that uses rover wheels now.

Launched a science probe intended for heliosynchronous orbit around Kerbol; performed the first phase of a bi-elliptic transfer for it by raising its apoapsis up to the orbit of Jool. Will be lowering the periapsis is about 220 days. Also docked a lander to a capsule. Both for the Constellation Challenge, of course. Slow day on account of Halloween.

I had my super science rover probe slated to go to Laythe. However because I was tired I somehow selected Duna instead and didn't realize my mistake until I had reached orbit... At that point the skycrane/lander didn't have enough fuel to really do anything other than land on Duna so that is where I sent it.

One wheel broke on the landing. Did some science then decided to see what she could do on Duna, got up to 38m/s before it took a bit of a jump off a hill which broke all but 3 wheels on the right side, this cause it to flip over which broke off the comunications array so it is now pretty much useless.

St. Jeb came! Today, I did SCIENCE without all the parts.

And stayed up 'till 3am.. *facepalm*..

This is how I made my first career mode orbit. No struts, SAS off to save power. LV-30 chosen as it generates power, and I kinda used up all the fuel..

He had to abandon his ship in High Kerbin Orbit, as without power, it could not be controlled.

But, his adventures must have given the scientists lots of good info on orbital physics, and atmosphere density. Here he is over Kerbin City.

Geof here is about to supervise the launch of the first unmanned rocket, with remote control systems invented so they could get poor Barfrod down from there.

He, and his valuable science made it home safe.

How did you get all those lights on Kerbin?

Finally built a stable jet and tanker pair for my Laythe Base.

The Gremlin Vertijet uses a patented landing leg and small gear bay assemblage to land on its rear end. It can then tip itself over for refueling with the patented Gremlin Joust refueling tanker/ground tracking station or it can take back off VTOL after the pilot has repacked the chutes. It's the most stable jet I've made yet.

As it is a manned jet it probably won't get sent to Laythe until after the orbital station and deep-space crew cycler are launched so the pilot won't be stranded.

Also landed 2 mobile hab modules called Razorbacks.

Launched a top-mounted rover lander tonight, rendezvoused and docked with a lander stage heading to Mün. Pretty hefty payload and I'm pretty sure my box was trying to download updates while I was playing, so the lag was terrible. Landed the rover near the NAM and after I finally figured out how best to get it decoupled I drove it to a habitat nearby. Next step is to stick that lander I brought with me right next to the habitat with a loadful of Kerbals. It's for a challenge, of course; I have to get the lander within 100 meters of the habitat. It's going to take the best precision landing I've ever managed - my personal best is around 800 meters to date.

Launched 3 flights today playing career mode for the first time on my Mac (I've played before on my PC, but it's been awhile). Made it into orbit on the 3rd flight. Now I don't know which way to go in the unlock tree.
