Somehow I'm at level 2 but only at Britain 1. I think its from some achievements that gives XP but only for your level and not country level.

Trees can be fun, especially if you do test flight and crash your plane into trees!

Does anyone have some tips on how to level up your country level quicker?

Looking at this thread, I'm guessing that if I join I won't be shooting down too many bad guys/good guys (leaving room for ambiguity, just in case) on my first day?

There would be something telling you how much you're downloading per second. Is it at 0?

Try to get in close to the aircraft before firing, try to shoot when the aircraft is in front and heading in the same direction as you if you can't track and remember that the bullets seem to drop over distance so you would have to compensate for that.

Can you make custom battles with just 2 people in? I could give Jedi Master some target practise to shoot at me.

Basically this. The key to effective dogfighting is to get yourself into a position where you need as little deflection as possible.

I set mine up the other way.

Convergence on my planes is set to 2500 feet, and I lay down short streaks of bullets when I see that I am close to the target. Lotta times I'll take out an AA position while still more than 1000 feet away. Yes you can make the game use Imperial units. My altimeter properly displays 40,000 feet when I feel like flying that high.

Also what factor is used for your mission difficulty? I just noticed I got moved up to the level 2-3 bracket, even though I've been overall level 3 for a while now.

...that bug that makes it lock my computer up is really becoming a problem though. Like to a point where if they don't fix it in the next update I probably won't continue to play this. More often than not the game crashes trying to launch anything other than the Stalingrad field.

Does anyone else have problems with aim wobble? When I'm trying to manoeuvre to match the targets manoeuvres the aim sight wobbles so much that only a few shots hit.

I would not expect them to fix that, the minimum requirements say you need a dedicated GPU.

Use lower graphical settings. That always happens to me when I dip down below around 15 fps.

That's annoying, my FPS seems to always be just under 15. I'll try and lower them then.

I mostly lost interest in WT after the royally F'd the economy and made it a complete grindfest.. Guess not enough people were throwing money at buying premium time, so they made it almost impossible to progress past level 7-8 planes without constant endless matches without it.

I have just a laptop and it has about 20 fps with fairly low settings.

I've done my first airfield/ground capture. Lost but lots of fun

Shoot down my first aircrafts properly- I shoot down one before but it just crashed really.

A Su-2 in a Hurricane and a He-51 with a Blenheim's turrets.

Also set fire to another Blenheim's engine and damaged its wing but the game ended with 3 fighters chasing it.

Lots of MMOs nowadays that are "free to play" often require grinding. Its the sad truth.
