So today in class, I showed my classmates and my science teacher KSP.

While presenting on rocket science on a projector, my teacher wanted a demostration on my powerpoint. Fortunately, I had KSP on the laptop so I decided to show them KSP. Let me tell ya, the first thing they payed attentioned to was the kerbals (unfortunately no bill jeb or bob), they were SCARED. Anyways when I launched my makeshift rocket to orbit, they were already telling me to

-crash it

-turn it

-do a barrel roll

Right as I was cruising to apoapsis, the period ended unfortunately. Fortunately, my teacher let me continue on another day. I just wish that Bill Jeb and Bob was there on my trip :)

Pretty cool. Matter of time before a someone who played with KSP as a kid becomes an actual astronaut.

Or worse, a rocket scientist. :P

"I don`t trust any of these guys. If they`re not screaming wildly in the cockpit I don`t think they are paying enough attention."

Next year I have to do a presentation on astronomy and orbits and stuff in science and the first thing that came to my mind was do a mission recreating the moon landing or another. I will surely enjoy watching my classmates ask questions about why jebadiah is the only one smiling

I have wanted to do this for a while. How exactly did you manage to convince your teacher to let you do this?

Most likely a modern thinking instructor. An applied visual aid is the best means to teach and learn. If the teacher is familar with KSP and how it works, it is an ideal tool for helping people understand the concepts and physics of space, which then can be extrapolated on with the theory.

I've been hassling my students with my KSP misadventures all year long! I had a couple roll there eyes as I was explaining how I used a couple of equations to place a multi-satellite platform into a 4:5 orbital insertion so I could get even coverage for my GPS system. A couple of them did a demo for Newton's Second Law and projectile motion for their final projects. I will probably be setting up a KSP page on my school site for the summer break.
