My Munar Freighter was a success, keeping the cargo safe both on the Mun and Kerbin. The actual plan was to ditch the rest of the lander on re-entry, but it was only then that I realised I had not added a de-coupler onto my command module, and so had to make a landing when heading at an extreme speed. All eventually went well, with the exception of the lander falling over on the steep slope I landed on, but little damage was done.

I have made it to the Mun and back, I have completed all my wishes!

Tried to make LML2 even lighter. Took 1 LFT from every liquid stack of the launcher. Result - cruise stage ran out of fuel before fully completing TMI burn (several seconds of firing the lander\'s engine at low thrust where needed to complete it). Still the lander was able to perform the direct landing. It even didn\'t break anything.

I only discovered this game three days ago and have been hooked on it since. I was so terribly bad at it at first that it was about a day before I even managed a complete orbit of the Kearth with a safe return.

So far my favourite rocket, Big Ted, has managed to get a module into Munar orbit then home again. Still haven\'t managed to set foot on the surface of the Mun yet.

It toke me three weeks to get into orbit. One day is good. ;)

Also, silly Munar stuffs-

It was just like the old footage you see of the early days of rocketry; hundreds and hundreds of crazy \'Stop The Pigeon\' style rockets exploding and going haywire at first. Then I watched some of Scott Manley\'s videos.

On Day 1 after KSP installation (AKSPI) I managed my first orbit,

on day 9 AKSPI I managed to get the first spaceship out of Kerbins orbit and into Kerbols orbit without any chance to return (after trying a direct flight to mun but missed it :D ) at the same day, first successful mun orbit and return to Kerbin

Day 23 AKSPI first successful mun landing (all of this reconstructed according to the dates of my pics in my first KSP folder) ... don´t know how many days between these days I played, just can say that aside from the successful missions there were a lot of explosions and Kermans stranded either in space or on mun without any chance to return :D )

On my to do list is definitely still to test mod parts (haven´t installed a single mod/addon till now (day 47 AKSPI), always worked with stock parts)

What you\'re really do is land a structure on the moon and then immediately dig a hole and bury it. There\'s no way you\'d carry enough shielding to survive a full-on solar flare, and that far outside the earth\'s magnetosphere you\'d be totally exposed when/if one hit. (of course, we have no idea what kind of magnetosphere kerbin has).

Solar flares are rare, and it was pure luck that none of the apollo missions ever got caught out during one.

If you want 'laid down', does this post count?

Because if so, then I totally meant to do it that way. Oh yes. Completely intentional.
