Helsinki is the only non-allied capital in Europe that was not occupied during the war.

The other ones (allied included) are London and Moscow.

And... errr.. we have a subway that is mostly above ground.

The town that I live in (Won't say the name) is pretty much the only town I know of in Pennsylvania where if you go from one side of the post office to the other you enter a different county. Other than that it's pretty much in the middle of f-ing nowhere.

The city I live in had the worlds largest shopping mall for a while

I think I might know where you are...

The village that is my hometown is the only place (I think, it was several years ago...) that the book that records the names of Canadian soldiers has been aside from Ottawa.

The city I live in is known for it's cougars, but it's in the record books as the world's largest hamlet.  Isn't that kinda like being the world's tallest midget? LOL
(BTW it's right next to the photo radar capital of Canada and the city that used to have the largest shopping mall...)

Chicago has the tallest building in the United States: The Sears Willis Tower.

Not true.  NYC has the new One World Trade Center, which is the tallest in the western hemisphere.

My town is one of the only towns in the US to be on the mouth of a major river, and not be a large city.  OK, it was pretty big when boats were able to get in, but the sandbar has prevented ships from getting in for a long time.  It was only 'booming' when the steam ships were popular.  That is until the Lexington Disaster.
