Pros:

-if you die, you come back

-there is no need to eat, drink, or breath therefore greatly reducing costs

-no whacky laws to hold you back from doing kerbal things...you know what I mean.

-radiation-tolerant

Cons:

-in most cases you die like every 20 minutes

-even if you aren't a pilot and are just a civilian there is a 90% your house gets crushed by a tank when you come home from the market

-if you are a pilot you will most likely be controlled by a mad dictator

Well my answer to this depends on how you state the question...

Do I want to be a Kerbal in the sense that I get to discover new things, have my footprints be the first on other worlds, pilot creations beyond my dreams, survive ridiculous catastrophes and walk it off with a smile and never have to maintain my body (honestly, food?)... then, yes.

However...

Do I want to die all the time, get stuck in orbit forever without fuel and know nobody's coming(I won't die because FOOD, HONESTLY :D), spend years on the surface of another world for a rescue that will ultumitally strand me in Kerbin's oceans and then simply get deleted? Well...no.

I too would like to be a Kerbal. Or atleast live on Kerbin. They get all the cool space explorers, and we have... some satellites and an ISS. Sure we've been to the Moon, but are we going back? No. Have we been to other planets? No. You know why? Because Governments would rather spend billions on researching why people are fat or why cars are killing the planet instead of spending billions to put Man on another planet.

82% of Kerbal Losses last year were linked to insanity

Upon further investigation, it was found that a Lone Kerbal whom develops an itch on the top of their head will be driven insane within hours

I like being able to reach my head

and therefore I would prefer to stay Human
