Well, has anyone else noticed this?

there is an insane supply, minimal demand and prices keep getting undercut to the point that cards, background, ect...are worthless. (aside from TF2 and DOTA2 stuff.)

I don't always buy items on the Steam market....but when I do, I buy the things that are higher price than the lowest one available, and you all should too. (not saying buy the $10k common card, but don't go for the $0.08 one when there is a reasonable $0.12 next to it, doing this enough will inflate the market and then you can actually profit.)

Though I'm no economist.

well i like to use the market to buy keys in TF2 for a cheap price.

but yeah, the price of stuff is going down far too quickly.

I don't know how the market works, but I believe that you get these bonuses for free for playing the games, and then you can sell them?

Of course the market is going to collapse. Infinite free stuff doesn't sell well in any market.

Technically not limited, the card drops are limited. It's just it boomed due to the introduction.

Or you could but up all those under priced goods and hoard them until prices come up and make a profit that way.

A set levels up your profile, the higher the profile the more stuff you get.

I believe its more social stuff for Steam.

The Market place is a relatively recent addition to Steam, used mostly for selling/buying TF2/DOTA2 stuff and more recenlty Steam Trading Cards.
