Seeing the ASAS in action makes me excited for it, I wasn't so much before. I'm also happy to see that there are new parts I was sort of thinking this was more of a visual/mechanic sort of update.

Once again, under evaluating the work made to the infrastructure. There's a hell more than 2 new parts, anyway I don't think that game development progress = number of available parts.

What about it? They had to test all the new models and animations, the new SAS system, the new terrain on Kerbin, Mun, Moho etc., the new astronaut complex and crew management system, the new interface changes and so on.

New KSC looks excellent ... ! Also love the 'aggressive' looking mountains on Kerbin. According to previous editions of KSP Weekly other celestial bodies had also a geographical update (although no procedural craters), so that sounds promising ... !

That's called removing the bugs to prevent you from complaining about them. I don't remember a time when the QA and experimentals phases took a lot less than a month honestly, so I don't see what your argument is.

I wonder when the next planets will be updated (Since it's currently the inner planets)... would probably have to be another gamebreaker, so maybe they'll leave it for a few updates... and possibly release a new planet with it? Get it all done in one?
