You could use bobcats Jool V Rocket its very close to an apollo rocket also on your Luna 17 lander ( which is totally awesome by the way) you need to change raise platform to Extend it fits better with the retract option but thats just me

PPTS released!

I think I love you.

By the way, when/if you're going to make the Saturn V, will you also do a Saturn V-N? The one with a nuclear third (I think) stage?

EDIT: Oh, and does the Vostok use bobcat's soyuz, or another soyuz?

Lovad is making the HTV. I think that MrTheBull should rather finish the Apollo, then perhaps vintage Soyuz expansion pack I suggested some time ago.

I totally agree with you ! But what I really would like to see is a nice white painted TKS (even if it was not a total reality :P )

Actually, it was pretty close to reality. It wasn't manned in a traditional sense, but the actual thing (FGB+VA) has been launched once and even docked to the last Almaz station. If the program wasn't axed, it could've worked.

TBH, I think BobCat is the better person to work on TKS. He's already got a lot of FGB-based modules with a proper texture, so it'd just be a matter of making another one with the original FGB config, then creating a matching VA. Maybe we could get BobCat interested in making this.

I know, but I think he said he won't do it :/

If he did, it was long ago. Maybe he forgotten. :) We'll see, maybe I could coax him into at least making the FGB. But not anytime soon, he's got a lot of other work now.

Yes, it was a looong time ago ^^ in june or july I think. I you have a kind of influence on Bobcat, just do it even if it take a few more months ^^

Well, I'm a tester for him (and pretty much the only active member of his team). And I back my suggestions with research, so he occasionally goes for them. :) We'll see, he's really got a lot on his plate right now. I'd say, let him be done with the HOME update, CSS and An-225. Then we may think about starting something new, though he'll most likely want to do MAKS. Either way, awesomeness is coming. :)

I'm not in a hurry ^^ I've planned a lot of thing to do before even rebuilding Mir once again, so plenty of time ^^

I have a question about the ppts instrument pod only 2 out of 6 engines work or are the others rcs

Turn on RCS, press 'H' (for RCS "forward"), and you will have an answer. Hint: The four other engines are RCS thrusters.

Okay, I have feedback on PPTS. First: Very nice looking capsule. I like having a six-seat option available to rotate crews to my KOSMOS space stations.

There are some things in the config files that I would recommend changing: Fuel in the Equipment / Service module is not correctly balanced (500 Liquid/600 Oxidizer). I assume this is Earth Orbit Station variant of PPTS, not the lunar version. If so, you could reduce fuel to 270 / 330. This balances the fuel correctly, and it reduces weight. You could also reduce thrust. I dropped it to maxThrust = 90 and heatProduction = 120. This is still enough thrust to finalize an orbit (although I prefer lower stages to do all of the lifting work). I also reduced monopropellant from 400 to 100 - this is fuel intended to maneuver in orbit. 100 is probably still too much for docking, since the capsule also has plenty of fuel, but it's much less than 400. With the reduced fuel load, there is still > 1300 m/s dV and a 0.91 T/W ratio on the equipment module (so it could still go to the Mun).

The heatshield / landing gear / landing engine part is very cool. I am tempted to see how it looks on some other space craft, as well. I think it has some unusual collision meshes, though. If I use procedural fairings, they are very wide if I have this part on the space craft. I don't know why. It looks odd, but it does not affect how well the ship flies.

Monopropellant in the capsule could possibly be reduced. If I land on Kerbin, I use about 135 units of fuel (Equipment module does the initial de-orbit burn; any adjustments are made by the descent module). I haven't tested the fuel quantity, so I don't have a specific recommendation yet.

Overall, I like the design, and it fits very well in my space program.

I have a secret. I"m very bad in calculating and making real good configs. =D

Thanks for testing and fixes. I will update PPTS in near future.

Wow, looks great. Do you have any plans to do the PPTS lunar tug? Anyway, I'm happy you're making the Apollo, your work has really increased in quality since the N-1 (not that your N-1 was bad).

If you give me some links with pictures of lunar tug - i'll create it. And thanks for the praise))
