First Take off from eve!

YES! I finally did it! I used someones lander from this forum ( forgot his name.. but all credit goes to him ) and I made a rocket that carried it to eve, to be honest I modified the lander just a lil' bit so it can reduce g-forces.

But anyway, here's a video, feel free to SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, and i'd appreciate it if you comment ;D!

I am still working on a lander for Eve. I can land and take off from the Mun and Duna so I can do it on just about any body. I want to pick out a landing zone with rovers before I actually go down and attempt a manned landing (it is easier on a plateau). Then I can think about a Tylo lander.

Trust me, Tylo is easier than Eve. Eve takes 11500 m/s from sea level to get to orbit from, and plateaus only drop that to about 7500.

Hmmm... The "Add to this user's reputation" button does not seem to be working today... I've tried in two different browsers. Is anyone else having this problem?

It's a forum-wide thing. The recent server update seems to have borked a lot of forum features for most people, including me.

@OP: Nicely done! Makes me feel like trying it myself in the near future.

Main problem with Tylo is the landing, gravity is pretty much like Laythe but no aerobraking, so you must brake 3000 m/s without litobraking at the end.

Takeoff is not trivial but easier than Laythe as you don't have atmosphere.

Might say Tylo landing require more pilot skill than Eve takeoff who is not harder than launching an large and troublesome ship from Kerbin. Eve takeoff is the shipbuilding challenge.

Wow, Didn't think that you guys will be that positive! btw Deadshot did you move the Topic? I put it here but then it was moved then returned ( General.. ).. I think I put it in the right place so there's no need for moving it :D!

But yeah, I agree, Tylo is harder to land but not that hard to take off from, but come on let's face it, launching from eve is the hardest challenge in KSP! two times stronger ( 1.70 to be exact) than kerbin.

Eve is very hard, has spent an week making an Eve lander who weight less than 10 ton while is can reach orbit from 6.5 km attitude while being reliable. The 8 ton worked once, as in I have not get it to work later :(

It uses an ladder, I have an version with seat who is 15 ton. It uses 13 of the new 48-S7 inline engine.

Building an Tylo lander is pretty easy as long as you are not on an very thigh weight budget. As for piloting, I have no plan of ever trying to land on Tylo without an autopilot.

No problem landing on normal places like Mun but I tend to chicken and burn far to early and that does not woke on Tylo.
