Still WIP Kestrel personal shuttle

35 parts, ~4.3 tons weight, ~1300 dv

Small size and light weight makes it perfect escape pod for single kerbal.

It is super secure with engines for deorbit, chutes if something goes very wrong and even without both you can land just like glider.

it can takeoff on its own

it has only 2 wheels, so landing is fun

Finally I was able to make my cargo hold work as I wanted to.

inside is a lot of space for a 2.5m diameter cargo hold

It doesn't look perfect, but for 2.5m I couldn't put more things inside without limiting cargo space :/

Cool! Speaking as someone who did something just like this twice, they may not be efficient, they may not be easy to make, but they sure look good. I use them for all my sky-craning, and I'm even messing with SSTOing one!

You should use the Falcon X and Falcon XX as inspiration. They're really cool, I've been toying around with launch vehicles inspired by them.

And here is Falcon 9, can lift ~12 tons
